Increased Flights at Farnborough Airport.

As many of you will be aware, Rushmoor Borough Council in response to overwhelming public opposition, recently rejected TAG's application to increase the number of Air Traffic movements at Farnborough Airport from the current 28,000 movements per annum to 50,000 movements per annum.
TAG also wanted to increase the number of movements on weekends and bank holidays (No Flights are permitted on Christmas Day or Boxing Day) from a current level of 5,000 per annum to 8,900 per annum while staying within the overall limit of 50,000 movements per annum.

TAG have now appealed to the Secretary of State to have this decision overturned, the date for hearing this appeal has not yet been set. The Planning Inspectorate Ref. No. is APP/P1750/A/09/2118357/NWF.

This application has a direct impact on the inhabitants of Mytchett, Frimley Green and Deepcut.
